About the Casale
Il Casale del Priore is a family-run farm and agritourism estate located in Todi, the heart of Umbria, just a short walk from the city’s ancient walls.
It owes its name to the history of this site: according to local chronicles, Alberto Civitella, prior of the nearby parish of San Nicolò, had his residence built here in 1625.
Aura

Meridiana

At the heart of the day, when everything slows down and the light is at its fullest, Meridiana offers a silent refuge. A bright and welcoming room, where time seems to ease its pace.
Vespro
Vespro – n. – from Latin *vesper*, “evening”, from which *vesperae*, the liturgical prayer at sunset
When the day draws to a close and the light turns golden, Vespro welcomes you with its gentle warmth. The ideal place to contemplate the beauty of evening, in the silence that prepares for night.
Umbra
Umbra – n. – from Latin *umbra*, “shadow,” but also “protection, shelter”; at the root of the name Umbria
At the heart of the Casale, Umbra is a refuge, where stone embraces its guests and invites them to pause. It is a space to be shared, a small hearth where one can come together, immersed in the most authentic essence of Umbria: silent, deep, and welcoming.

Our story
Il Casale del Priore is the result of three generations, distant in time yet connected by a shared bond with their land.
In the 1980s, Alessandro was the first to envision a future for the ruin that would become his home and for the surrounding fields, laying the foundations of the agricultural project.
Drawing on his experience in accounting, Fabrizio nurtured this heritage, transforming it into an agricultural company and paving the way for agritourism in 2022.
At this stage Elena joined the project, guiding the Casale’s evolution and taking care of hospitality, communication, and every detail that defines its identity.
Il Casale del Priore was created with the aim of enhancing an authentic place, where nature and history coexist in harmony. In every corner, both inside and outside the estate, these two elements find full expression.
The landscapes converse with the interiors through furnishings, colors, and unique views. The memory of the past lingers in the names of the rooms and in the small gestures that shape our daily life.
Through agricultural work, we honour the fruits of our land, preserving traditions handed down over generations. Through hospitality, we invite guests to step into a centuries-old story that lives on amidst the greenery and the quiet of this place.
